fredthebear: A form of the Barry Attack for White, a.k.a. the Hebdon Hack Attack. It often features Be2 against Black kingside fianchettoes. Given that White played 8.f3 instead of Nf3, maybe this should be called the Jobava London System.

The late development 17.Bd3!? is a mild surprise given the Black fortification on the b1-h7 diagonal. Watch White collect the f5, g6, and h7 pawns.

Stockfish says 31.Kc3?! Kxg5 would have equalized for Black.

There is still some work to do in the final position shown.

Here's another game with a similar opening structure: O Wieczorek vs Michal Karpus, 2017

Oct-11-22  mayankk06: 31... Rd6 seems a blunder as it allows the 32 Bxf5+ tactics. 32... exf5 leads to a loss of Rook via 33 Rh6+. And 32... Kxd5 as in the game still loses the h7 pawn.
Sep-19-23  Chesschronicle22: True, white is about 8+ advantage
