Phony Benoni: There may be an error in the pun. When I saw the game in the Pun Voting Both, I believe it was <B Heastie Buoyed>.

By the way, 27.Kxd1 is a blunder ony if you tink that playing out 27.Rxd1 Rxa2 will be more pleasurable that going out for an early lunch and forgetting about the whole sad business.

Black has the simple 27..Qd3+ and mate next move.

Breunor: Was very surprised to see 21 b4, it looks anti-positional.

Glad to see computer prefers 21 Ba5, -.55; b4 comes in at -1.21.

Apr-27-20  Brenin: White might have tried 27 Rxd1, hoping for 27 ... Rxh2?? 28 Qa6+ Kc7 29 Qa5+ Kb7 30 Rd7+ and mate. Of course, 28 Rxa2 Qxa2 29 Qxa2 instead is terminal.

offramp: <ajile: Heastie Boys> LOL! Good one. Imagine it is 34 years since Licensed to Ill came out.

Or indeed the even simpler 27...Qe2+, but I tink [sic] you're missing PB's very amusing point.

Don't stand on ceremony. They've banjaxed it, plain and simple.

Apr-27-20  dumbgai: Way too many moves with the queen by white.
Apr-27-20  Cheapo by the Dozen: ... Be3 was a nice shot.

Phony Benoni: <ajile> <goodevans> My comment was based on White playing 27.Rxd1 instead of <27.Kxd1> In that case neither 27...QAd3 nor 27...Qe2 are check, and Black must be careful not to allow 28.Qa6+.
Apr-27-20  goodevans: <Phony Benoni> Yep, I got that first time around and, of course, 27...Rxa2 would do more than just prevent 28.Qa6+.

Phony Benoni: <MissScarlett> No more than any other layperson. I keep p with the Pun Voting Booth, but that's it.

FSR: Surely the pun is missing an "H" - <Heastie Buoyed> rather than <eastie Buoyed>?

MissScarlett: By way of recompense, be sure to use my Pinkerton pun for tomorrow.
