Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-20-15  Chizoad: I think black goes astray early in this opening with 6...e6? leading to troubled development of his light-squared bishop: because of 7. Bxc4, the a6 square is unavailable after 9...Nd7 and either the e6 or c6 pawn must be moved to complete activation. The main line with 6...Qd5 maintains an open game that is far preferable to what black achieved here. Incidentally no attempts of 6...e6 appear prior to this game in the opening explorer.

11. e4! initiates a kingside attack with black effectively down a bishop.

thegoodanarchist: Here the GM just overwhelms the non-master tactically. Not worthy of GOTD, but I propose that the pun for it should be "Kick Strand"
