Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-28-14  boz: Looks like a draw.
Aug-28-14  Everett: No kibitzing, where is everybody?
Aug-28-14  boz: Lounge area?
Aug-28-14  ajile: I'm not here yet.
Aug-28-14  Jim Bartle: Just switched from the Caruana game a couple of minutes ago.
Aug-28-14  estrick: The game just opened for kibitzing a couple minutes ago
Aug-28-14  1d410: <boz:looks like a draw> Maybe Naka is improving.. Or is Carlsen just out of form?
Aug-28-14  waustad: He can use his 15 minutes to look for something better than the perp.
Aug-28-14  estrick: Carlsen could get checkmated if he doesn't take the perpetual
Aug-28-14  ajile: Draw agreed.
Aug-28-14  estrick: It's done
Aug-29-14  Ulhumbrus: One alternative to 8 d5 is 8 Bb3 (as in the game Smyslov vs Reshevsky, 1948 although in that game Black placed his king's bishop on e7 and not on g7) waiting to see where Black places his king's knight
Aug-29-14  pericles of athens: Nakamura himself played 3...g6 in some tournament in the last six months or so. Forget which one.
Aug-29-14  Chessman1504: He beat Anand with it in Tal Memorial.
Aug-29-14  Chessman1504: After 12...Nf6, the structure is very reminiscent of a King's Indian Defense.
Aug-29-14  Chessman1504: From the looks of it, Nakamura played a very solid and strong game. I don't think he ever stood clearly worse in this game. This is like the Sinquefield Cup last year, where Nakamura was actually better for a large chunk of time with the Black pieces against Carlsen.
