Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-20-20  Delboy: Not quite resignation-worthy yet, but it is amusing how the black queen rook is stuck and cannot be saved after 11. ... cxd6 12. Bf4, and white will end up at least a pawn to the good, with many holes in the black position. The same is also true for 11. ... cxb6 12. Bxb6. Another peculiarity of this very short game are the two bishops standing in front of their pawns on e3 and d6

perfidious: <Delboy>, this whole line is passing strange: in the 1977 National HS championship, one of my teammates used 2....f5 to win from Seirawan, but I do not recall him playing it again.

Much later, I got to play this as White, though in one game mentioned in the kibitzes to A Shaw vs L F Teuton, 1995, my opponent went in for 5....Kf7 instead and managed to win. On reviewing the game listed above, had forgotten I had seen this game before!
