happy birthday GM Kveinys!

May-27-12  Adriano Saldanha: I thinks he names a modern Sicilian defense variation (B40s): 4 ...Qb6.
May-28-12  Shams: <Adriano> Do you mean the Grivas variation?
Apr-09-13  Kurochi: <Shams> No, Grivas starts out with 2...Nc6, which may lead to openings like Rossolimo and similar, so it's not that easy to get into it.. Kveinys plays Kan move order and I find it an easier way to get into Qb6 stuff - 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 e6 3. d4 exd4 4. Nxd4 Qb6. Now the only move is 5. Nb3, all others - and black is at least equal. (e.g. 5. Nc3 Bc5!)
