<The Last Straw: <nok> Cramling probably thought she could play 26.Qg5+, but realized black has 26...Kf8.>

Yep, Cramling tried to make too much of a good thing. :-)

She had played the good move 24 ♗h3-d7!, with the idea 24 ... ♖d8x♗d7?? 25 ♕f4-g4+ and 26 ♕g4x♖d7, <WINNING THE EXHCANGE>.

She liked this <QUEEN FORK> tactic against the <EXPOSED> Black g8-king so much that she tried it *again* with 25 ♗d7xc6??, with the idea 25 ... ♕c5x♗c6! 26 ♕f4-g5+, a <QUEEN FORK> of the newly <UNPROTECTED> Black e7-rook and a <CHECK> against the Black g8-king.

However, after her opponent "fell" for her trap by playing the winning 25 ... ♕c5x♗c6! , she realized that her intended <QUEEN FORK> 26 ♕f4-g5+ could be simply met by the rather obvious 26 ... ♔g8-f8!, and His Majesty <PROTECTS> the Black e7-rook.

So she had just dropped a piece for nothing and promptly resigned.
