<Afterwards Carlsen said that he was especially happy with his game against Alexander Morozevich, which he won "quite easily".>

Jul-07-12  Marmot PFL: Excellent technique at the end. Black's main problem aside from the usual weak e pawn was that his queen was out of play once white broke through on the d file.
Jul-07-12  Eyal: It's almost comical how helpless Black is at the end, with the rook on e6 pinned and the white rook controlling the 7th rank. Note that 39.Kg2! is necessary to allow the second rook to join the attack: an immediate 39.Re4? is met by 39...Qb1+ 40.Kg2 Qxc2+ followed by Qd2 or Qb3.

Btw, the engines point to a much quicker win by White with 23.Qh4! - controlling the d8-h4 diagonal in combination with the d-file is immediately deadly; for example, the game continuation 23...Bb7 24.Rd7 Bxf3 loses to 25.Qe7! and if Black doesn't develop the bishop White would double rooks and penetrate on d8.

fredthebear: What about 20...Qa5 instead of 21...Qa5? It seems to charge White a valuable tempo instead of helping the rook lift on the d-file. Black probably can't save the game at that point anyway with his isolated pawn on e6 wishing the f7-pawn were still there.
