Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-29-11  russep: What's wrong with taking black's bishop when it is on c5 on move 26?
Aug-29-11  tonsillolith: It all has to do with White's pinned bishop on f1.

If White captures with the pawn, Black takes the queen, and white can't recapture.

If White captures with the queen, Black plays Qe2 and Black is in trouble with the pinned bishop.

Note that White can't then protect the bishop with the queen on the f1-a6 diagonal since the black queen can just capture for the same reason as before. Note also that from c5, the black queen has no way of checking or causing trouble.

VasuGina: I find ur contribution useful for learning opening theories, do u have plans to post in more games of Marshall attack opening in ur collections? Thanks
Nov-03-12  ozmikey: Zong-Yuan annotated this game in typically modest fashion for the local junior league magazine here (in Sydney). His comment on Black's 25th move was "A 'simple tactic' as my opponent described it, but one I missed and still quite cute I think!".
Aug-17-15  SpiritedReposte: 25. ...Bc5! Is a great find.

  Fusilli: Que paliza!

Yeah, 25...Bc5 is an awesome move. It's fun to play through the various mate sequences after 26.Qxc5 Qe2 27.Kg2 Qxf1+

On ICC, Larry C. said of 26.Ra2 "What a pathetic move. I would rather resign."
