Korora: Simple ♗-sac and setting up a mate by the ♕ guarded by the ♖.
Apr-14-25  King.Arthur.Brazil: Mondays as usual: 34. Bxg7 e3+ 35. Kh2 Kxg7 36. Qg5+ Kh7 37. Qf5+ Kh6 38. Qf6+ Kh7 39. Rg1 Mate next. Refusing: 34. Bxg7 f5 35. Qh8+ Kf7 36. Bxf8 Ke6 37. Qh6+ Kd5 38. Rd1+ Kc4 39. Qe6+ Nd5 40. d7... etc.

  takebackok: Take a break no think Monday, zero defense after 34. Bxg7 Kxg7 mate in coming 35. Qg5+ & Rg1 (if 34...f6 35. Bxf8 Kxf8 36. Qh8+ Kf7 37. Qh7+ & Qxb7 etc.) all roads lead to gg. White must strike with 34. Bxg7! any other move looks like it's still a fight.
Apr-14-25  Walter Glattke: 38.Qh5# or RxQ
Apr-14-25  saturn2: I had the game sequance. Bxg7 Qg5 (Rg1 and the king escapes via f6) Rg1.
Apr-14-25  mel gibson: A bit tricky for Monday.

Stockfish 17 says mate in 11:

34. Bxg7

(34. Bxg7 (1.Bxg7 f6 2.Bh6 Rf7 3.Rg1+ Rg7 4.Qe8+ Kh7 5.Bxg7 e3+ 6.Kh2 Qxg7 7.Qe7 Qxe7 8.dxe7 Nd5 9.e8Q Nf4 10.Qg8+ Kh6 11.Qh8+) +M11/76 69)

White wins _ mate in 11.

Teyss: A bit tricky for a Monday because you have figure out what happens if Black declines the sac as in mel's line, and make sure there are no tricks after 36...e3+. Indeed there are none because the d6 Pawn prevents further checks starting with ...Qc7+. If this Pawn weren't here:

... the combination would still work but not as well. 34.Bxg7 Kxg7 (for instance) 35.Qg5+ Kh7 (35...Kh8 36. Qh6+ Kg8 37. Rg1#) 36.Rg1 as in the game and now 36...e3+ 37.Kh2 Qc7+

The best for White is 38.Rg3 Qxg3+ 39.Qxg3 after which he has a won endgame Q vs R+N but the e3 Pawn is an issue. If 38.Kh1? Qc6+ 39.Kh2 Qh6! holds.

Apr-15-25  TheaN: Missed this yesterday and ended up spoiling it for myself clicking move 34 instead of 33, but do agree with <Teyss> this is on the rougher side, but not for that reason: Black can't really decline as after 34.Bxg7 f6, 35.Qh8+ Kf7 36.Qxf8+ simply wins the entire house and 34....e3+ 35.Kh2 is kind of obvious... fair, defensive lines generally not necessary on Mondays.

Why I do think it's a bit harder than usual is 34.Bxg7 Kxg7 35.Qg5+!, instead of 35.Rg1+. Very instructive pattern to know: force the king to the h-file, rook behind and create two mate threats that can't be defended at the same time. Most of us know, but giving the rook check right away, bringing in more pieces, is the more natural move to make.
