Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-13-10  dhotts: What is wrong with 22.Rxg7?
Jan-13-10  ChessKnightsOfLondon: If 22.Rxg7 then Black can take Whites Knight with the Queen!

But why did White give up the exchange just like that? His position did not look too awful until then.

Jan-13-10  ChessKnightsOfLondon: Sorry thought you meant 23. Rxg7. Indeed you are correct and I want to know why as well.
Jan-13-10  ChessKnightsOfLondon: Black can play 22.Kf8.
Jan-13-10  Chlipchlop: I think I'm in love with Aronian's play. It's always full of powerful pressure, and terribly crushing. :) Here just see how things evolve after 28. b4 !?...
Jan-14-10  arsen387: 22.Rxg7? Kf8 traps the R. but after move 28 I got no idea what's going on, one of the weirdest games I've ever seen
Nov-07-10  Chlipchlop: <arsen387> 28. ... Ne6 just simplify with the idea to exchange this knight against Nc3 to simplify with 1 piece up. Again 29. ...d4 is an exchange offer. 30. gxf5 looks aesthetically awful but this pawn cannot be taken because of the terrible Qe4 ! threat. This should explain why white sacrifies a rook again and complitely collapses.
