Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-15-07  devinjc: 18.Bxd5 seems inconsistent to me. Tiviakov allowed his pawn structure to be embrassed to get the bishop pair, a double edged idea. So why re-balance the game for a draw? He doesn't even seem to make any effort to drum up attacking chances with his bishop pair.
Jan-15-07  Shams: with the knight on d5 and black's bishop on f5, I can't see what he could hope for with that light-square bishop beyond getting his pawn back.

Besides, if he wanted more than a draw he should not have essayed the Alapin ;)
