Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-06-06  Runemaster: 37...b3 starts a knight-hunt.

If 38.Na3 Bxa3 39.bxa3 b2 and the pawn queens.

38.Ne1 Bb4 39.Ng2 Bc3 wins.

So the poor knight ended up in the corner on a1 and soon had to be given up anyway. Yet another illustration of the power of the 2 bishops.

Jan-11-07  notyetagm: <Runemaster: ... Yet another illustration of the power of the 2 bishops.>

Yes, I am scared to death of giving up the bishop pair on an open board. The bishop pair seems anectdotally to win 9 times out of 10 in such positions.
