  tpstar: I held a quick seance to determine the next move:

Alekhine = 18. f4

Botvinnik = 18. Ba3!?

Capablanca = 18. exd5

Tal = 18. Nxc7!?

Nakamura = 18. Qh5!?

Kramnik = 1/2-1/2

  Moondoll: I have Re1 or f4 better than exd5!?
18.Re1 Ng4 19.Ra2 dxe4
Jan-21-06  SEMENELIN: f4 could ruin the defense of sokolov thats my hunch tells me.. =)
Jan-21-06  whatthefat: Fritz 8 is seeing it like this:

18.exd5 Nxd5 19.Ba3 c5 20.Re1 f6 21.Nf5 Bxf5 22.Qxd5+ Be6 23.Qe4 (+1.38) depth=14

Jan-21-06  AdrianP: <TpStar> LOL! Nakamura Qh5 especially...
Jan-21-06  Ulhumbrus: 17...d5 aims possibly to take away White's advantage in space. After 18 ed Nxd5 White's extra pawn on the queen side does little. 18...d5 also avoids exchanging pieces as after ...f5, and avoids allowing White's Queen immediate access to d5 after 17...f5 18 ef Nxf5 19 Nxf5.
Jan-21-06  Woodpusher: <tpstar> Alekhine wins!

Jan-21-06  vampir: Hey guys, how I can citate somone? Where must klick about this?
Jan-21-06  SEMENELIN: Greco says exd5. =)
