Jan-15-06  jim rindgen: Rc7, f6 or Rc5, ?
Jan-15-06  azaris: I'd love to see Mr. "I'm Too Good to Spend Time Looking at Anything" lose this, but he's too good for that, I think.
Jan-15-06  chessic eric: with g5 Anand looking for f6 rook outpost
Jan-15-06  badmove: <chessgames.com> Thanks for the picture. It seems you don't want to see people like me making more comments at this respect.
Jan-15-06  gmgomes: Draw agredd!!
Jan-15-06  ex0duz: I think Anand is teaching us more about how to throw away a pawn in an position that gave Aronian no attacking chances.. after 55. Ke2

What was Anand thinking with Kg2?

Jan-15-06  diablotins: Seems that Anand will even have to fight for a draw...
Jan-15-06  monad: What a turn up for the books this is now
Jan-15-06  chessic eric: drawn after hxg5,Kf5 Rf6+,Kxg5 Rxf7,Rxd5
Jan-15-06  DutchDunce: Well, Corus site says 1/2-1/2, so it's a moot point.

chessgames.com: Thanks to everybody who showed up today. Next game is tomorrow morning at 7:30am EST.
Jan-15-06  Saruman: <Mateo> How then are you going to make progress as black? Rf6+ if the king tries to guard f7 in order to release the rook from duty, so that doesnt work.
Jan-15-06  Ludamad: they agreed to a draw
Jan-15-06  Doctor Who: Clap clap clap zzzzzzz
Jan-15-06  polu: Ivanchuk may have mishandled his position. I don't see a win for him anymore.
Jan-15-06  Aseem: Chessgames.com which game will you be showing tomorrow?

offramp: <Doctor Who: Clap clap clap zzzzzzz> Exactly. That game was like watching a disk defragmentzzzzzzzzz.
Jan-15-06  sciacca khan: As I wrote on the main Corus chalkboard, credit where credit is due! I got the game right on all three points: 1) Ruy Lopez, Closed...2)Aronian fights for his...3) draw. Y'all didn't even have to watch to know the result.
Jan-16-06  yalie: So, did Vishy miss a win against Aronian? 55.Kg2 looked stupid ... but was it just his way of signaling a draw? I dont see how he can make progress after 55.Ke2. Any analysis (even preliminary) would help.
