Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-01-07  aazqua: With a name like "Ladislav" I would think that everyone would suspect this guy of being a big sissy. Good thing black doesn't seem to understand his opening. The idea with the Marshall is that you're trading a little material for initiative. Trading further (n*b) reduces tension and gives white breathing room. The closer white gets to the endgame, the better off he is.

offramp: In the Marshall black's attack sometimes becomes stalled. Black feels compelled to advance his f-pawn. Disaster often ensues.

Feb-15-14  ghost124: oh yeh whoops thanks
Feb-15-14  kevin86: The extra two pawns will win.
Feb-17-14  vanderyacht: Why doesn't black play 25...Bxc5 ?
Feb-17-14  Shams: <vanderyacht> For the same reason he doesn't play 29...Bxc5-- White has an in-between check and then recaptures.
