GrahamClayton: Lasker blunders with 18.♕f5?, leaving his Queen no escape squares. 18.♕h4 or 18.♕d4 were much safer.

  MissScarlett: Cheltenham Examiner, October 10th 1894, p.6:

<Mr. Lasker's first public performance in England since his capture of the "World's Championship" took place last week at the rooms of the Brighton Chess Club, where he played simultaneously on 25 boards against a strong team. Knowing that among his opponents were many of the strongest players of the Sussex Association, he played at a slow rate - for "simultaneous play" - taking four and a half hours for the 25 games, of which he won 20, drew 3, and lost 2. A lady, Mrs. Sidney, of Brighton, had the honour of being one of the two players who defeated him, and the other was Mr. W. Walker, of Lewes, a frequent opponent in former years of the present Secretary of the Cheltenham Club.>
