Aug-18-04 | | mack: Now, come on. I think Bill Wall's miniatures are fab, but this is absolute bilge. Dire, terrible, rubbish. Get it out of the database. |
Sep-14-04 | | morphy234: LOL. this is funny. he played it on the internet |
Oct-11-04 | | midknightblue: Bridgemen, your collection of games thus far could stand a little improvement. Watch out for that f7 square buddy. I will look forward to your next entry. p.s. do you play on fics? I am available to play you anytime. |
Oct-11-04 | | midknightblue: with the 1...a5 and 2...h5 I thought you were looking good for a while there Bridgester. You were really dominating play on the edges. |
Oct-11-04 | | themindset: hahaha.
seriously, just playing through this game was a waste of time. |
Oct-11-04
 | | offramp: It would be interesting to see what happens after 3...e6. |
Oct-11-04 | | chsperson: interesting to see what would happen after d5. |
Oct-11-04 | | pogo5: So many wonderful master games are missing on this site ... and then, this crap! I concur that it is a real shame. |
Oct-11-04 | | Knight13: What the heck? Who would play a5 and h5 with black? That's just a waste of moves. Oh well... Maybe it was just a beginner. 3... f6 was better . |
Oct-11-04 | | acirce: No, 3..f6 would be bad. 4..d5! instead of the game move would have given Black a playable, although not terribly good, position due to White's premature Qf3 and e5. Not sure what the point is in annotating games like this but.. :) |
Oct-11-04 | | mack: So... this game IS going to get removed, right? |
Oct-11-04
 | | offramp: <acirce> You are right about 4...d5! It is hard to find a clear advantage after that: 4...d5 5.♗f1 ♘g4 6.d4 c5 7.c3 ♘c6 8.h3 cxd4 9.cxd4 ♕b6 10.♘e2 ♘b4 11.♘a3= I like this line because black makes use of both rook's pawns. |
Oct-11-04 | | Knight13: Then I guess 3... e6 was better, huh? |
May-11-05 | | Abaduba: The thematic thrusts 1. ...h5! and 2. ...a5! force White's pieces to develop into the center, while Black can play on the edges of the board. White's position suffers from too much space and central control, and his pieces' free movement spells disaster. Only a cheap mating trick prevented Black's advanced idea from appearing in all of its anti-positional glory. |

 | | TheAlchemist: How about this: in a recent tournament (90+30) I played with a friend, and we started the game with 1.a4 h5 2.h4 a5 and then we played "seriously" (we were still chuckling a bit, as were the players who played on boards beside us, but who cares). |

May-11-05 | | azaris: "Chess is a terrible game. If you have no center, your opponent has a freer position. If you do have a center, then you really have something to worry about!" -- Tarrasch |
Jul-27-05 | | Averageguy: A true masterpiece. |
Oct-01-05 | | THE pawn: This game showed flawless endgame technique from both players. |
Oct-01-05
 | | BishopBerkeley: This opening is not from the Romantic School: it is from the Cro-Magnon School. I was confused at first about why he Wall didn't play 5.Qxf7# instead of 5.Bxf7#, but obviously it's because he wants to retain the pressure on the Black Knight at e4. (There's a little of the Cro-Magnon in all of us, you see :) (: ♗ Bishop Berkeley ♗ :)

Oct-02-05 | | THE pawn: Bridge man wasn't strong enough to break the wall, so he went back to his favorite game: bridge. |
Nov-26-05 | | Chopin: Bridgemen must have been smoking something before the match. |
Jan-02-06 | | DeepBlade: Bridgemen gave 2 move odds and sacrificed one Knight! I dont understand why you dont like this game! This is the ''Bridgemen Immortal''! |
Apr-17-06 | | Rajiv Herman Kramer: Stupid Bridgy |
Feb-21-08 | | D.Observer: I once played chess with a classmate. With the white pieces, the game went 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 a6 4. Ba4 b5 5. Bb3 d6 6. O-O Bg4 7. Nc3 Qf6 8. Nd5 Qd8 9. h3 Bh5 10. d4 exd4 11. Qd3 Bxf3 12. Qxf3 g6 13. Nb6 and black resigned.
