Aug-13-10		cuppajoe: A question on a fine point of the rules: if they had played the first ten moves again would that be a draw by threefold repetition (the opening position having appeared thrice in the game) or does that not count because the KKt and QKt have switched places?

Mar-02-18		beenthere240: There's a simple explanation for the first 10 moves. The knights had started out on the wrong squares! It was essential for the King-side knight to move to b1 and the Queen-side knight to move to g1 (and the same for the black knights). Once this was accomplished, the game could begin in earnest.
