  Honza Cervenka: 13.Kh1 is too passive. 13.Bb5 seems to be better. If 13...Bd7, then 14.Bxf6 Bxb5 15.Bxg7 Kxg7 16.Nxb5 Qxb5 17. Qd2 with next 18.Nc3. Of course black cannot play here 17...Rxe4?? for 18.Nc3.

  Honza Cervenka: Very interesting line is 15.Ba4 Ne3 16.Qc1 Nxf1 17.Bxe8 Bg4 18.Bxf7+ Kxf7 19.Qxf1 Qxb2 20.Rb1 Qc2 21.Rxb7+ Kg8 22.e5 Nc5 23.Rc7 Nd3 24.f5!? I think that black is still better after 24...Bxe2 25.Nxe2 Nxe5 26.f6 Bf8 but who knows?
Nov-27-02  AgentRgent: Isn't this a Benoni?
Nov-27-02  glaswegian4: ive never heard of these two players...am i working too hard? or should i be spending more time on this site? ineed to cut down on the medication and get out of this nursing home...i believe that white played very bad{a lack of prepoation} not agame i would wanton this site.....
Dec-03-02  drukenknight: is 23 QxR any better?

Honza Cervenka: 23.Qxe4 Qxe4 24.Nxh6+ Bxh6 25.Nxe4 Bf5 26.Nc3 Bc2 is simple and clear. Quite good attempt seems to be 23.Nxh6+ Qxh6 24.Qxe4 Bf5 but then black is also in clear advantage.
Dec-04-02  drukenknight: why this? 23.Qxe4 Qxe4 24.Nxh6+

why not 24 Nxe4?

  Honza Cervenka: 23.Qxe4 Qxe4 24.Nxe4 Bxf5 25.Nxd2 Bxb2 etc.
Dec-05-02  drukenknight: man you are obsessed w/ grabbing the passed pawn here! cant he give a couple of inbetween checks on blacks K?

Honza Cervenka: Have you any better idea than 25.Nxd2? (I have one posted above - 23.Qxe4 Qxe4 24.Nxh6+ instead of 24.Nxe4 Bf5 25.Nxd2, but it is pretty hopeless too.)
Dec-05-02  drukenknight: I do have a move to play in there, Im thinking 25 Ne7+ Well, let me look at what you posted and set this up first.

Honza Cervenka: DK, I'm afraid that white cannot play 25.Ne7+. The knight on f5 was captured by bishop in the 24th move in the line 23.Qxe4 Qxe4 24.Nxe4 Bxf5.
Dec-06-02  drukenknight: in that line: 25 Nxd6? I dont have it set up, so this may be messed up.

going back to an earlier pt in the game why not 21 Qd1?

  Honza Cervenka: 1) 25.Nxd6 Bc2 (or Bg4) 26.Bf4 d1=Q+ etc.

2) 21.Qd1 Qxf4 is not better for white than 21.Qc2 Qxf4.

Oct-11-06  syracrophy: Do I have to asimilate the pun with the fact that the game is an Exhibition match?
Oct-11-06  LoveThatJoker: Hey guys, what is the continuation here?

Thanks in advance,

LTJ

Oct-11-06  chezzy: <LTJ> Black has 2 pawns advantage. He threatens to take the d and b pawn, the white knight is in a bad position, the rook may enter via c8 and black may take the b7-g2 diagonal.
Oct-11-06  Castle In The Sky: It's seems that all the trouble started with a premature advance at 12. f4 White's black bishop was awkwardly placed and their was no effective way to defend the g1-a7 diagnol. 18...Nf2+!! was the killer, either white takes the knight with his rook or faces a smothered mate.
Oct-11-06  kevin86: The final position is all in favor of black. In addition to the annoying pawn on d2,the pin on the knight is quite bothersome. White must meet these annoyances while black develops his bishop and queen rook. In addition, black is already two pawns to the good-with no doubt more to follow.
