Jan-03-10  ozmikey: Nice thematic game...I like how Bondarevsky combines control of the c-file, the king-side initiative and the use of the knight on d4 to exploit his advantage. 31. Qc7! is a nice way to finish things.

  Fusilli: Agreed. Black played a little passive, though. Three years later Keres tried 13...Bg4 against Bondarevsky and got a very active game:

Jan-04-10  ozmikey: <Fusilli> Thanks for the link. That Keres game brings back bad memories for me of a game I played against Douglas Gibson Hamilton in the Doeberl Cup some time in the early noughties...he made the Tarrasch seem like a forced win for Black!
