Honza Cervenka: 27.fxe4 was a mistake, 27.Rxd7 would have been safe for white. He clearly missed pretty 27...Nh4+! But instead of 30...Nfxd4 it was better to play 30...Nce5 with idea 31.Qg2 Qh5 32.Rf1 c5! 33.g4 (33.Bxc5? Rd2-+) 33...Qxh2+ 34.Qxh2 Nxh2 35.Kxh2 cxd4 with clear advantage of black. Fortunatelly for black, white had a blackout and with 32.Rxd4?? allowed a mate in 1. Of course, the position was not simple for him and 32.Re1 Ne5 is clearly better for black but after 32.Nc4 white stays in the game.

Teyss: You can hear White swearing after his 32nd move.
Mar-03-25  BxChess: I looked at 31...Rxd4, but rejected it because white can simply move the rook along the back rank (to e1 as <Honza Cervenka> suggests). Black has a definite advantage, but it is not a Monday level win.

You win some, you lose Csom. And then you are Fuchs.

Mar-03-25  King.Arthur.Brazil: It is the first Monday the king isn't so sure: 31...Nxd4 32. Qf2 Rf7 33. Qe1 Nf3 34. Qf2 Ne5 35. Qe2 Ng4 and no defense to 36... Rf2.

Other alternative doesn't seem so good: 31...Rxd4 32. Re1 Ne5 (33. Qg2 Qxg2+ 34. Kxg2 Rd2+ 35.Rh1 Nf3 or 35. Rf1 Rxh2... end) 33. Qe2 Ng4 34. Qg2... White can resist more...

Yes, of course I saw that 31... Rxd4 32. Rxd4 Qf1#, but unless of time trouble, W would play Re1 (as showed above). :-)

takebackok: Just kidding Monday, play the best move 31...Rxd4 if they blunder its bingo.
Mar-03-25  mel gibson: There is no win.
It's either the Knight or Rook takes d4 and in both cases it's a draw.

Stockfish 17 says:

31. .. Rxd4

(31. .. Rxd4 (1. ... Rxd4 2.Nc4 b6 3.b3 Qd7 4.Rxd4 Qxd4 5.Nd2 Nb4 6.Qc4+ Qxc4 7.Nxc4 Kf7 8.Kg2 Nc2 9.Kh3 Nd4 10.Nd2 g6 11.Kg4 Ke6 12.Kf4 Kd6 13.Ke3 Kc5 14.Kd3 h5 ) +0.09/48 263)

score for Black 0.09 depth 48 _ it's a draw.

if I force SF to take with the Knight:

31. .. Nxd4

(31. .. Nxd4 32. Qc4+ (1.Qc4+ Kh7 2.Rxd4 Rxd4 3.Qxd4 Qf1+ 4.Qg1 Qf3+ 5.Qg2 Qd1+ 6.Qg1) 0.00/71 20)

score for Black 0.00 depth 71 _ it's a draw.

perfidious: Just another practical OTB problem masquerading as a POTD.
Mar-03-25  saturn2: Black takes on d4, retaking is tabu for white. Then it is equal. I dont see the point of the puzzle.
Mar-03-25  khense: Yes - Most puzzles don't count on a blunder.
Mar-03-25  Damenlaeuferbauer: 31.-,Rxd4! wins the pawn (back), but certainly not the game. Bad job, chess.com!
Mar-03-25  cocker: Strange, Csom was 'Famous for his legendary fighting spirit'.
Mar-03-25  TheaN: Clear that this is not a win, but okay, <31....Rxd4 ⩱> is Black's best move, given 32.Rxd4?? Qf1#. Initially I thought 31....Nxd4 had a bit more punch, but as the White queen defends the mate from d4, after 32.Qc4+ Kh8 33.Rxd4! Rxd4 34.Qxd4 Qf1+ 35.Qg1 Qf3+ = it's a draw as Black has to take perpetual or lose. So either go with the provocative and slightly better 31....Rxd4 ⩱ and play on or force a draw with 31....Nxd4. Weird Monday. To CG, capturing is not compulsive and White played into this; go with best play for the position of a puzzle, not the result.

chrisowen: I oy jaw c puzzled Rxd4 abc claw duh axiom juggle aea oar Rxd4 oe...
Mar-03-25  erimiro1: Don't get it. 31.-R:d4 is played almost automaticly, black is standing better indeed. But if white isn't playing 32.R:d4?????? I think that the game is far from the end. Or maybe I am missing something. At least it happened to GM Csom.
Mar-03-25  Allderdice83: After 31 ... Rxd4, the puzzle is White to move and lose.
Mar-03-25  Hercdon: This is not a puzzle, it is a blunder
Mar-04-25  Halldor: I couldn't think of anything better than RxP and thought I was missing something.

But White blunders; must have been a time trouble. — Jawohl! Zeitnot heißt es.

noads4me: The only way to see this puzzle as very easy is to assume White would make the blunder of taking Black's Rook at d4 with his Rook.and get checkmated!

True, this game is not much to write home about but the above is potentially a great pun and it would justify a GOTD. Hope you've submitted it!
