Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-11-03  Rookpawn: In this game, Ljubojevic's Queen comes under the attack of a pawn on move 18. It finally moves away on move 22. Compare this to Miles vs Ljubojevic, 1986, in which a pawn attacks Ljubojevic's knight on move 12. The knight finally retreats on move 39! Incidentally, Ljubojevic lost both games.
Jan-07-05  csmath: Very nice game and fine win by Timman in times Timman was at his best.

cu8sfan: <csmath> You may like this one: Timman vs Ljubojevic, 1985. Same opponents, same opening and what a fight!
Jan-07-05  csmath: Yup, very nice poisoned pawn game, Ljubojevic getting fine beating.
Nov-12-05  KingG: <csmath> This isn't a poisoned pawn game. Poisoned pawn starts with 7...Qb6
Aug-21-09  WhiteRook48: and then 8 QD2
Oct-27-09  WhiteRook48: Ljujojevic loves counterattacks
Oct-27-09  Aspirador: I remember one commentator remarking that 18...Qd8! would have been OK for black. The 18...Nf7 19.Qf4 g5? is completely ripping black's position apart.
