chessgames.com: Honza, do you believe that this is Frantisek Treybal? The PGN indicates Karel.

Gypsy: (To chime in again.) Yes, this was Frantisek---cf. the note I posted on K. Treybal's page. In Prague 1908, F. played in master section, K. in main. (My source is a collection of Duras' games.)
Sep-20-06  percyblakeney: Janowski blunders with 38. Ba3 which loses quickly (Rd1 would have given better chances) and is checkmated by last placed Treybal in Prague 1908. This was Janowski's last big tournament before his World Championship match, and he finished 10th of 20 players:

Dec-15-06  ForeverYoung: In Lesser-Known Chess Masterpieces 1906-1915 it is pointed out that Janowski had a draw with 25 Bf7+! Kxf7 26 Rxg7+ Bxg7 27 Qxg7+ Ke8 etc. Quite a game and nice effort by Treybal in holding the fort against a violent attack.
Dec-15-06  ForeverYoung: The book also points out that Treybal missed 30 ... Rd2! 31 Rg2 Rd1+! 32 Bxd1 Qe1 mate!
Jan-29-09  cghlime: But only if White had played 30. ♗d2 instead of 30. ♖xf5

Honza Cervenka: 23.Kf2 or 23.Kh1 freeing g1 for the Rook were far better continuations in white's Kingside attack.
