Sep-16-16  Resignation Trap: Position after 19...Nc4:

White should try 20. Nb3! and if 20...Nxa3, 21. f4! with a strong attack. Jaffe's 20. Nxc4? dxc4! gives Black a strong passed Pawn, opens a great diagonal for Black's Bishop, and leaves his own d-Pawn vulnerable to attack.

Position after 29. Qf3:

Duras played 29...Rhd8? which allowed White to regain the initiative with 30. Qf2! Instead, 29...Qh4 and 30...Rad8 was correct.

Position after 38...Rd7:

White goes astray with 39. Rg5? c3! 40. e6?? (40. Rg3 is still OK)c2!

White could really inflict great suffering with 39. Rgf3! when Black remains completely tied up.
