The game calls to mind Capablanca's high praise for Maroczy's play and depth of insight. Capa liked the guy, too. |

 | | Honza Cervenka: When I was trying to find out "a beautiful mate" in the position pointed out by <RV>, I found quickly that forced line 41...Nf2+ 42.Kg1 Nh3+ 43.Kh1 Qe1+ 44.Kh2 Qg1+ 45.Kxh3 Qh1+ 46.Kg4 but here I completely missed simple mate in 1 (46...Qxg2#) and continued with 46...Rg7+ 47.Qg5 Rxg5+ 48.hxg5 f5+ 49.Kf3 Qf1# (diagram), which is quite lovely mate too.
