Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-18-03  fred lennox: What is wrong with 38 Rxd6?
Jul-18-03  ughaibu: a1Q.
Jul-19-03  caseyclyde: 38. Rxd6 looks like the best move. It's as if white wins a pawn and a dangerous one at that. After 38... a1Q black has a material advantage of N and B vs. R and a passed pawn that may be hard to stop but white has some defensive chances.
Jul-19-03  ughaibu: a1Q is check, likely to be followed by Kh2 Ng4 40. Kh3 Qh1.
Jul-19-03  caseyclyde: ughaibu, i think you're right.
Jan-11-06  Saruman: 44.Kg2 Qh2+ 45.Kf3 Ne5+(46.Kf4 Qd2+ 47.Qe3 g5#) 46.Ke3 Qxg3+ and Qxa3 .
Jan-30-12  Knight13: 35. Bxe5 fxe5 36. Qxe5 then what? 36...a1=Q 37. Qxe6+ Kh8 38. Rxa1 Rxd6 39. Rxd6 Rxd6 and black gets a better endgame than White. But there's a much better move: 36...Bb3 attacking the rook on d1.

Also the simple 36....Rxd6 wins a piece.

Dec-13-20  ariel el luchador: No se donde estuvo el error de Anderssen¿Que pasaba si Jugaba PxP en la jugada 14?Steinitz hizo muy bien de no jugar P4AR como hizo en las partidas 1 y 5
