  offramp: Before this game Short was leading the match 3-0 with 1 draw. Things were looking pretty bad for Alburt here as early as 14.e6. He takes the e-pawn in a Death-Wish sort of way, then watches in horror as his kingside becomes more full of holes than that guy on the escalator in Total Recall.

After 18...Kxg7, his dark-square g7-bishop has gone, but white still has his! That is rarely a good omen!
