Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-21-05  Whitehat1963: More novel approaches to the opening of the day.
Apr-01-06  EmperorAtahualpa: Is it taboo to fianchetto in the Benoni? Is it proven unsound?

The results in the opening explorer seem to be encouraging for Black!

keypusher: Usually it's pointless. The Bishop is worse at b7 than at c8. See this game for an example of fianchettoed futility with colors reversed. Petrosian vs Fischer, 1971 But if White plays e5 as in the Ludden-Blitterswijk game, weakening his d5 pawn, then ...Bb7 makes a lot more sense.
Apr-03-06  EmperorAtahualpa: Thanks for that, <keypusher>!
