Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-06-14  twinlark: Great clearance sac with the Knight on the last move! It threatens an unprotected rook, a mate in one and a separate mate in two.
Jul-06-14  Rookiepawn: Sorry, what happens after 26 ... Rxd4?

I only see

27. Nxd4 Qxe4
28. Bxe8 Qxe8

White has advantage, but cannot Black resist?

Jul-06-14  ChemMac: <Rookiepawn> White gets either Q for two pieces or a R up after 26....RXd4 27.NXd4 QXe4 28.Rde1
Jul-06-14  MountainMatt: I didn't think grabbing that g4 pawn looked too wise, but Stockfish says it was the right move. It actually gives black a slight advantage (-0.2) after 11. Nxg4, but it was all downhill from there.
Jul-07-14  Ulhumbrus: 11 g4 starts an attack which hardly appears justified although White does have a considerable lead in development.

11...Ng4 allows lines to be opened on the king side when White has still the option of castling on the queen side.

Instead of 11...Nxg4 two ways to react in the centre are 11...Ne4 and 11...c5

Jul-07-14  Gogia: It's a fascinating game. I'll give my first pun try: One Flew Over the Van's Camp

  chancho: Battle of the Van's.
Jul-10-14  sevenseaman: A fascinating attacking game by Van Wely. He sets a hot pace and never relinquishes the initiative. The way he defends his light-squared B after its isolation was inspiring.
