Dec-14-08		Bumcrot: It is amazing to compare this game to Adams-Yue, which ended in a draw earlier this year and follows this game very closely, and realize how decisive a single tempo gained in the middle game can be.

Dec-14-08		JuliusCaesar: That was an impressively smooth performance by Jakovenko. He made breaching the Berlin look ridiculously easy. The recipe: exchange everything except the dark-squared bishop, mobilise the k-side pawn majority, march king up the board... and win.

Dec-15-08		beenthere240: This looks like a textbook example of how the exchange variation of the RL is supposed to win for black with the king side majority. The switch at the end to eat up the queen pawns was nice. It's a game where white can hardly lose and has nice chances to win.

Aug-11-09		nd792001: Imagine my surprise to follow OneArmedScissor's link expecting to see Jakovenko's amazing end game skills and instead I find: "My Chevy Caprice on 24s and I, Ballin at MCDONALDS!!" which is like Jakovenko's amazing endgame skills, with the exception that instead of a chessboard there's a Chevy Caprice, and instead of an endgame, there's McDonalds.
