Nov-08-20		goodevans: <8...Ne7> was a very curious move, blocking in the B and leaving a bit of a hole on d6 (at least temporarily). In the 100+ other occasions this position has been reached no one else has played it. I wonder how much consideration either player gave to the possibility that white can take immediate advantage of this with <9.Bxb5>, e.g. 9...axb5 10.Ncxb5 Qb6 11.Be3.

If they were then I wouldn't have bothered to post. What would be the point? And that illustrates my main gripe against the SF annotations that seem to be all-pervasive on CG.com these days: They dissuade us from doing our own analyses, or at the very least posting about them. For me that trumps the fact that these shallow analyses are fairly often wrong.
