Jul-21-12  voratco: <tolengoy: <In a match between them now, So in all probability will have no difficulty in beating Carlsen.>

I truly believe so without any iota of doubt.>

I agree.

It will be a blockbuster match, a better watch than Pacquiao-Hatton for sure. I will pay the required fee to see it in pay per view no matter how I will come up with the money, if chessbomb will carry it PPV live, I am sure, their servers will crash, it would take months to fix it.

Jul-21-12  JoergWalter: <voratco> ok, how to set up such a blockbuster match? I'll support it to whatever is within my budget.
Jul-21-12  voratco: Let us see if someone can scout some fat cats from Norway that has enough resources and smart enough to see when to cash in their investments.
Jul-21-12  JoergWalter: How about Meralco, PLDT, Lucio Tan or the Marco's family? Can you find out about their interest? They are no cheapskates when it comes to chess.
Jul-21-12  voratco: I don't think they can afford it. The Philippines is a doomed archipelago, remember?
Jul-21-12  JoergWalter: The richest folks I have met were filipinos. It is just chicken feed for them. Peanuts. A night of play at the baccarat table in Baguio.
Jul-21-12  voratco: I am not aware of any rich people here. All I know is we all live in cardboard boxes.
Jul-21-12  JoergWalter: come on <voratco> that is an obvious understatement from your side. Reminds of what Bert Bacsal told me that outsiders thought his house was in a tree.

tpstar: <HAPERSAUD> I assure you, these exchanges are fairly tame compared to what could be found elsewhere. =)

The Curse of VeryDumbSuperRetardedSisterMoron predicted that two of Wesley's alleged supporters would try to turn the entire chess world against him, so that he received no further tournament invitations and thus completing a dastardly self-fulfilling prophecy. Don't take them seriously.

Jul-21-12  voratco: <JoergWalter: come on <voratco> that is an obvious understatement from your side. Reminds of what Bert Bacsal told me that outsiders thought his house was in a tree.>

The truth and nothing but the truth, I am not quite sure I know what you are talking about. We earn a mere 5 dollars a day, so seriously, I don't know what to say.

Maybe I will study to become a quack doctor so I may be able to sponsor a chess tournament one day.

Jul-21-12  JoergWalter: <voratco> I was talking about the rich people to sponsor the event. Don't tell me they these guys spent their last money for a ticket and have left.
Jul-21-12  frogbert: la-la la-la la. trying hard to match the level of discourse, but i'm not sure i'm up to it no matter how hard i try...
Jul-21-12  voratco: <JoergWalter: <voratco> I was talking about the rich people to sponsor the event. Don't tell me they these guys spent their last money for a ticket and have left.>

Oh, them? I am not sure if they are willing to invest money on chess at all. Nobody has come forward to support Gm Wesley So obtain a coach. I think they are in for a bigger ROI. I think it is hopeless to find a sponsor here in the Phil.

Jul-21-12  JoergWalter: <voratco> just out of curiosity, would things be different if Campomanes would still be around?
Jul-21-12  voratco: Maybe or maybe not. I have no way of knowing it.

Do you ever go to sleep? LOL.

Jul-21-12  rogge: Copycatting LOLs is prettty lame =)
Jul-21-12  Bureaucrat: <frogbert: la-la la-la la. trying hard to match the level of discourse, but i'm not sure i'm up to it no matter how hard i try...>

You can do it! Just forget about reason and knowledge.

perfidious: Reason and knowledge haven't got a hope against blind stupidity and partisanship. The only way home with these two is to pull the plug.

To answer <Joerg>'s question, Campomanes would be lining his pockets-same dog, only washed. FIDE started going down the low road when Campomanes took the reins, and Ilyumzhinov has merely followed his predecessor's path.

Jul-21-12  voratco: Fast release switch double edged swords are in the groove. LOL =)

It's too convenient.

Jul-21-12  voratco: Freakin horoscope, I thought that would only for yesterday. =)

I am doomed.

Jul-21-12  Bureaucrat: <perfidious: Reason and knowledge haven't got a hope against blind stupidity and partisanship. The only way home with these two is to pull the plug.>

True. However, these two geniuses have at their command an advanced kind of stupidity that can be kind of entertaining. Time to call it a day, though.

Jul-21-12  AndrinoGiardino: Sigh. These is embarrassing for poor Wez. Go So!! The ICC blitz champion!
Jul-21-12  voratco: Whatever happened to timhortons, he followed the ICC for the longest time. He is expert on the subject. I hope he shows up someday.
Dec-25-12  HAPERSAUD: <tpstar> I don't kibitz that much anymore, one gets tired of listening to idiots banter, if there is a way to disable kibitz on my members page I'd love to find it :)

chancho: A list of the richest people in the Philippines:

http://www.therichest.org/nation/ph...

The first 15 are billionaires.

A talent like Wesley So should be getting donations from these folks.

They wont even feel the expense.
