Wang Yue from China won the event with 7/9 on tie-break from Evgenij Miroshnichenko, Vugar Gashimov, David Arutinian, Yuri Drozdovskij and Vasily Yemelin. After finishing equal second at the 2007 Aeroflot Open with a +4 score, today he won the Cappelle La Grande Open tournament on tie-break, with a +5 score! Wang Yue is closing in on his attempt to become the first Chinese 2700-rated player. |
