You need luck to win a tournament, and Lie has had his fair share of it so far, like when Mikhalevski missed the winning 33.Qxf6! Against Carlsen his chances lays in playing white with good knowledge of both the style and openings of his opponent. The "friends factor" can also easily compensate for a couple of hundred rating points. Go, Kjetil, one more for Telemark! |

I would recommend copying text from profile pages to avoid future link-rot in cases like this. Maybe not the entire article but enough to get the sourcing of relevant facts preserved in the record. For instance, the biography above mentions that Kjetil is Odd's grandson, yet the wiki article referenced doesn't have any info on that. Where did this information come from?
After looking up a few Norwegian chess terms with google translate, I found this: <Today plays in portrait GM Kjetil A.Lie. The 29-year-old reigning NM grew
up on Brattås at Porsgrunn. Kjetil comes from a real chess family. Grandfather Odd K. Lie was Norwegian Champion in mail chess, including in 1985.
