He has participated in 4 Chess Olympiads 1998, 2002-2006 with a record of +11=18-4.[1] In 2002 at the 35th Chess Olympiad, the Hungarian team won the silver medal with Gyimesi on the fourth board.[2] In 2005 he won the Hungarian Chess Championship[3] and the EU Individual Open Chess Championship

Mar-31-17  WickedPawn: I still remember Zoltan's shocking win over A. Sharyazdanov in round 11 of the World's U20 in Medellin 1996 to finish tied 3rd (won by Emil Sutovsk). I happened to be roaming by their table when they shook hands.

Sharyazdanov was the current European U20 champion and gave Sutovski his only defeat in Medellin.
