ThePawnOTron2: No move? --ThePawnOTron2

   Oct-23-08 Antoshin vs B Rabar, 1964 (replies)

ThePawnOTron2: 21.Ne6! is a discovered attack on the queen and an attack on the rook, and also threatens Rh3+. 21...Qxe5 22.Rh3+ Qh5 23.g5 is mate, and 21...fxe6 22.Rxf6 wins the queen. --ThePawnOTron2

Oct-23-08 Anand - Kramnik World Championship Match (2008) (replies)

ThePawnOTron2: It looks like it's all over for Kramnik.

Oct-22-08 Morant vs A de Feuquieres, 1680 (replies)

ThePawnOTron2: <dzechiel: <beginner64: <dzechiel> Umm, not really - the king escapes via h7.> Doh!> I think 10.Bxf7+ is good enough. --ThePawnOTron2

Oct-21-08 Kramnik vs Anand, 2008 (replies)

ThePawnOTron2: White's bishop is pinned and unable to move. 36...e2 will be coming soon, with a win by force. --ThePawnOTron2

   Oct-20-08 H Hasan vs M F Littleton, 1972 (replies)

ThePawnOTron2: <Smothered Mate: Has there every been an easier monday?> I agree. 49...Qxe1 is the oldest trick in the book. :-) 1 for 1 this week. --ThePawnOTron2

   Oct-19-08 J Trapl vs I Hausner, 1980 (replies)

ThePawnOTron2: Well, it's gotta be Rxg5+, but I have no idea of White's continuation. Definitely going in one of my favorite games. --ThePawnOTron2

Oct-18-08 Kramnik vs Anand, 2008 (replies)

ThePawnOTron2: You have to give Anand credit for this game. Very nice first blood of a World championship match. This should be game of the day soon maybe. --ThePawnOTron2

   Oct-18-08 I Farago vs I A Zaitsev, 1980 (replies)

ThePawnOTron2: Of course I didn't get it! You know how I am with saturday puzzles! :-) --ThePawnOTron2

   Oct-17-08 Kibitzer's Café (replies)

ThePawnOTron2: I think 4.g3 is played for a reason - to help control e4 without risking a Bb4 pin. Bg5 pins the knight, but Bb7 keeps the e4 square in hand. Keep in mind this is not meant to be the final word. --ThePawnOTron2
