   May-07-13 J Negro vs Manuelli, 1983 (replies)

KFitzgerald: It has been a while since I've done the puzzle, but I immediately saw this one. I like Queen sacs for the win.

   Oct-31-08 Y Stepak vs N Spiridonov, 1966 (replies)

KFitzgerald: This game is like a game that I recently played as white. Sorry to report that I did not win.

   Oct-31-08 J Molina vs A Schwartzman, 1934 (replies)

KFitzgerald: I got the first two moves, after playing; 26 ... ♖xe4 27 dxe4 ♖xe4 28 ♕f3 .... I wanted to play; 28 ... ♗e5 + I can now see that would not have been good enough, but I believe that white would have a hard time after that none the less.

Oct-29-08 Anand - Kramnik World Championship Match (2008) (replies)

KFitzgerald: Congratulations to Mr. Anand. Job well done.

   Oct-29-08 A Strikovic vs Suba, 1994 (replies)

KFitzgerald: Because yesterday I found the ♕ sac after looking at some other moves, I thought I would start with that. 26... ♕xd6 27 exd6 ♖e1+ 28 ♔f2 ♗h4#

Oct-29-08 Kasparov vs Topalov, 1999 (replies)

KFitzgerald: <slomarko> that was funny. LOL. <idontgetit> I am guessing that 29...♖d6 would have been followed by; 30 ♔b2 ♕c4 31 ♕b3+ ♕xb3 32 cxb3# see http://medlem.spray.se/tal0/replay/... for annotation by Kasparov.

   Oct-29-08 P Lyrberg vs R Irzhanov, 1992

KFitzgerald: I tried a couple of different combinations starting with ♗e3 and ♘f3+ but they kept getting complicated. So I thought let's look at the ♕ sac. And it was surprising how easy that was. Made me wonder why I did not try that first. <Nullifidian thanks so much ...

Oct-27-08 Lasker / Maroczy vs NN, 1900 (replies)

KFitzgerald: Nice and easy Monday puzzle. It took several seconds to see that if the white ♕ could reach the g8 square, where she would be protected by the ♘f6 and it would be mate after the recapture by the ♖g1.

   Oct-20-08 A Bradbury vs Keene, 1962 (replies)

KFitzgerald: I felt sorry for black after 18. b4 ... I also love the final attack of this game.

Aug-27-08 Vasiukov vs Taimanov, 1965 (replies)

KFitzgerald: I surprised myself, as soon as I saw the posible knight fork it all just made sense to me.
