Sep-25-18 B Finegold vs M Esserman, 2012
VGA: That kamus idiot misunderstood the book. Esserman very very early in his career played Morra gambit against the co-author of the book about the Finegold defense (a NM) but eventually missed a mate in 2 and lost. |

Oct-09-17 Morphy vs J Carr, 1858
VGA: He tried to put pressure on the blindfolded master by playing an unorthodox opening instead of theory ... that didn't turn out well. Even after those useless pawn moves he developed the knight to f6, where he would *obviously* be kicked back, tsk tsk. |

Oct-02-16 Kasparov vs Chess Genius, 1994
VGA: This was rapid chess, not classical time controls. |

Jun-28-16 Reshevsky vs V Sandic, 1988
VGA: What the hell is Black even doing? Maybe he had time problems? Weak play (I think) |

May-14-16 Short vs P Corbin, 2006
VGA: Always happy to see Short get clubbered, what an unlikable fellow. |

May-13-16 Deep Blue vs Kasparov, 1997
VGA: Late reply but leka's comment is idiotic.
When Kasparov played that weird d3 opening it was to get the computer out of its opening book, hoping for it to make a mistake. An anti-computer opening, a novel idea at the time. |

May-12-16 Deep Blue vs Kasparov, 1997
VGA: According to the analysis it was not a drawing position if properly played by White. White had a slight advantage, so Kasparov should have pressed onwards but maybe he was tired, shaken or made a mistake and calculated his position as very bad. |

May-07-16 Deep Blue vs Kasparov, 1996
VGA: Kasparov should have promoted that pawn to Bishop like a bawler :D |

May-03-16 Morphy vs Lowenthal, 1850
VGA: At 42 JJ should have just taken the hanging pawn. And his 51 move was just disastrous. These are obvious blunders even to beginners ... to his defense, this was not a serious game. I also found it weird that Murphy took so long to advance his "a" pawn. To his defense, he was 13 :D |
