| I began playing chess at the age of 12. I received my first chess computer a year or so later for Christmas; a radio shack special. I fell in love with chess way back then. I played in my schools chess club in High school, but never joined the Uscf so I did not know my playing strength. I began playing heavily when I was stationed in Korea for a year in the army, I used it to pass time away. I was then stationed in Ft Huachuca AZ and Joined the Sierra vista chess club and joined the Uscf and played in a few tournaments in 1996-98. I was given a 1542 rating. I have not played in any tournaments since. I have studied chess heavily since, played a lot of online chess and corr online chess since then. |
