   Jul-05-10 Shamkovich vs V F Titenko, 1963

tommer: Why did black resigned? Maybe because he only thought about 19 ..0-0 and when he saw it doesn't work he gave up??? 19 ..Rd8 seems to me black can plau and all he need is queens exchanged and the game is open means that all black need is to chase the white queen with his.

   Apr-16-10 E Schallopp vs Blackburne, 1887 (replies)

tommer: 42 ..Re8 with the idea to have one rook on the 3rd and one on the 8th white can't do much because his pawn are too far from promotion

Feb-19-10 Petrosian vs Taimanov, 1955 (replies)

tommer: I think 21 ..Bd6 cost a lose of exchange for black .

   Feb-08-10 E Diemer vs G E Kayser, 1953 (replies)

tommer: Unless the poor position of the black king...

Dec-09-09 Kashdan vs Rubinstein, 1931 (replies)

tommer: The moves that most impressed me were the 13 and 14 of black, a combination that helped black moving from defence to control of the center. Most difficult to predict for me were the 17 and 18 combination, as a beginner in chess (1/2 an year), these are the moves that I am trying to ...

   Nov-20-09 R Nezhmetdinov vs P Ermolin, 1946 (replies)

tommer: Seems to me instead of 7..dXe5 the best move for black is 7 .. Bg4 in order to develop at least one queen side piece.

   Nov-13-09 Alekhine vs A Bonet, 1923 (replies)

tommer: A weird game. Why not 36 ..Qf1# Why not 31 Bg5+ I can't believe Alexander Alekhine was white in this game, impossible. Maybe theres something I don't see?

   Oct-24-09 I Braskin vs K de Smet, 1988 (replies)

tommer: I think black has no more effective checks, and is down a piece even after knight take a1.

Aug-08-09 Lucena vs Quintana, 1515 (replies)

tommer: If his book was published 1497, 18 years before this game so I would be surprised to see it included.

   Aug-01-09 D Griffith vs K Hopps, 1982 (replies)

tommer: Black had better moves instead of 14..h5. For instance 14..Rxa2 seems more logical : winning the free a2 pawn and having the white knight at e4 pinned. It also open the a file and even if white play Kb1 and the rook moves back, still a rook sac ..Ra1 Ka1 Q somewhere on the a file+ ...
