I'm a 29 year old gentleman who lives in the Seattle, WA area. I didn't know anything about chess until about 10 years ago. Now I usually play now and then, I'd love to play a tournament somewhere. My favorite players of all time are Morphy, Tal, Fischer, Kasparov and Anand. My favorite contemporary players are Carlsen, Anand, Topalov, Radjabov. Other than chess I love music (I'm a classical pianist) and Computers (I'm a Software Engineer).

   May-12-19 Y Dembo vs A Peterson, 1992

sergeidave: Is Andrea that very little girl in the "Chess Kids" documentary from 1996?

Aug-13-18 G da Cutri vs Ruy Lopez, 1575 (replies)

sergeidave: "11... resigns" is a novelty.

   Sep-04-14 Fabiano Caruana (replies)

sergeidave: Or putting it back in chess terms, will this be the beginning of a new rivalry comparable to 'Karpov-Kasparov'?

Jul-01-14 Anderssen vs Kieseritzky, 1851 (replies)

sergeidave: Also, from that same source, it appears that the moves ...3 through 5, actually happened in a slightly different order... Then the rest of the games plays as notated above.

   Apr-21-13 B Larsen vs A Matanovic, 1965 (replies)

sergeidave: Ahhh... I found the game I was referring to. The positions are not quite that similar, but what makes them similar is the way the knights go kamikaze, one from the left side then immediately after, the other knight catapults itself from the right... Anand vs Ponomariov, 2002

   Mar-24-12 Daniel Rensch (replies)

sergeidave: Check his video lessons and live sessions on Chess.com! He is super cool and a great teacher!

   Feb-19-12 Magnus Carlsen (replies)

sergeidave: It was toooooo short. Is there a more extended version anywhere?

Dec-12-11 London Chess Classic (2011) (replies)

sergeidave: Drawronian Drawkamura Drawlsen Drawnand Drawnik Drawell Drawdams ... maybe only McShane and Short are a bit tricky drawralize... =)

   Nov-01-11 Hikaru Nakamura (replies)
