positional player: what do you think of the following game? I played with black pieces: 1. e4 e6 2. d4 d5 3. Nc3 Bb4 4. e5 b6 5. a3 Bf8 6. f4 Ne7 7. Nf3 Qd7 8. Bd3 Ba6 9. O-O Bxd3 10. Qxd3 h5 11. Nh4 g6 12. Be3 a6 13. b4 Nbc6 14. Rab1 Nc8 15. Ne2 b5 16. Nf3 Nb6 17. h4 Nc4 18. Nd2 Be7 19. g3 ...

positional player: thank you
   Sep-05-05 Reti Opening (A09) (replies)
positional player: <any opinions on why 1.Nf3 d5 2.c4 dxc4 3.e4 is not regularly played?> black plays 3...c5 and later Nc6 and has d4 square and white has an ugly backward d-pawn
Aug-16-05 Zaitsik vs Zichulidze, 1976 (replies)
positional player: nice trap
   Aug-15-05 Burn vs J Mieses, 1895
positional player: In my opinion black should've played a6 on the 6. or 7. move, with the plan of b5
   Aug-15-05 Tarrasch vs J Mieses, 1895 (replies)
positional player: i dont really believe that QGA avoids complications and its first object is to draw. Of course after 7. Nxd4 ( i dont understand why Tarrasch, who said that the activity of pieces would compensate the isolated pawn, didnt play 7. exd4) the position looks quite drawish.
   Aug-13-05 Reti Opening (A06) (replies)
positional player: Yes, it looks like the Budapest Gambit except black hasn't played c5
   Aug-13-05 Grunfeld, 5.Bg5 (D91)
positional player: In my opinion 2. Bg5 is meant to avoid King's Indian and Grunfeld and it will be very hard to get Grunfeld-like structure after that move. besides white can play 3. Bxf6 after 2. ...g6 and then getting to grunfeld is impossible
