   Dec-06-07 World Cup (2007) (replies)

linux fan: <cbpatzer>, it does indeed. Santa's little present for the readers?

   Dec-06-07 acirce chessforum (replies)

linux fan: Thanks, <acirce>. I was suspecting there was nothing new under the sun. <Hesam7>, wouldn't it be funny to order books on Lenin and Mao from a capitalist corporation like Amazon? :)

   Dec-06-07 Bobby Fischer (replies)

linux fan: <Joshka: It's about time he's putting out a new book finally after all these years, geezzz.> Sure, if you enjoy reading about conspiracy theories. But I doubt he can pull himself together to a level of sanity where he is able to design the structure of a book, let alone ...

   Nov-27-07 Zoltan Almasi (replies)

linux fan: Almási had 2692 before the World Cup, that is before he beat Wen Yang 1,5-0,5 and won the first game against Bartosz Socko. Second game is tomorrow. I guess he must have those missing 8 rating points by now. Way to go, Alma!

Sep-28-07 Grischuk vs Anand, 2007 (replies)

linux fan: <acirce> :)) Watching chess games until 2:00 am has certain side effects.

Sep-24-07 Kramnik vs Anand, 2007 (replies)

linux fan: Kramnik has been putting up such a class defense, finding great resources, and now instead of a simple 40 Ra8 he plays into Anand's hands with 40 Rb8...

Sep-24-07 World Championship Tournament (2007) (replies)

linux fan: Wow, Gelfand sacs the bishop on h6.

   Aug-19-07 Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (replies)

linux fan: This time it was 2,5/6. He lost to the 20-year-old Russian GM Igor Lysyj, and in the last round against a German IM called Christian Seel.

   Aug-19-07 David Navara (replies)

linux fan: This was uncalled for. Awful strategy. In last rounds, especially if he's white, it's best to keep it clean and positional, maintain a slight plus and wait for black to blunder. Otherwise he'd so much deserve to win this tournament.

   Aug-17-07 Levon Aronian (replies)

linux fan: <Personally, I would prefer a photo where his entire head is visible, not cut off at the top.> Yeah, but this is art. <and Tea Bosboom-Lanchava, hmm, I don't know what to say about this one...> Art.
