Mar-07-20 Topalov vs Kasparov, 1995 (replies)

kostich in time: "Queen? We don't need no stinking Queen!"

   Nov-26-19 L Barden vs Rossolimo, 1950 (replies)

kostich in time: Chernev includes this in The Most Instructive Games Of Chess Ever Played.

   Nov-26-19 Fine vs H Steiner, 1947 (replies)

kostich in time: Odd. Fine claimed years later that his match with Steiner showed he was "out of form". However, he beat the #5 player in the US $ to ), with 2 draws. He also won the Werthiem Memorial the next year with seven wins and 2 draws ,beating Euwe and Najdorf. In short, had he not ...

   Nov-23-19 Reshevsky vs C Guimard, 1951

kostich in time: An excellent game by Reshevsky. It is included in 100 Master Games Of Modern Chess by Tartakower and DuMont

   Nov-22-19 A Dake vs C H Alexander, 1935 (replies)

kostich in time: An excellent performance by Dake against the clever British master. He inexorably builds the pressure until Alexander is helpless.

   Nov-18-19 J Qi vs Karpov, 1983 (replies)

kostich in time: It is indeed hilarious to see Karpov playing one of Fischer favorite lines-and improving on Bobby.

Nov-08-19 Kostic vs Euwe, 1921 (replies)

kostich in time: It is odd that there should be no comments on his. It is one of Kostic's best games. e6!!was a killing blow.

   Nov-08-19 R Domenech vs Flohr, 1935 (replies)

kostich in time: One of Flohr's little known masterpieces. A fine example of playing actively in a simplified position

Nov-08-19 Petrov vs Pirc, 1936 (replies)

kostich in time: This is the Pirc game included in the Oxford Encyclopedia of Chess. It is a rare-and brilliant -example of two knights outplaying two bishops in an open position.

   Sep-08-18 I A Horowitz vs P Trifunovic, 1935

kostich in time: Horowitz was in excellent form at Warsaw, !935, as was Kupchick. This game, against the usually unbeatable Trifunovich, is literally fought until the last pawn. The US had to win this game, as the (relatively)inexperienced Fine had gone down against Dr. Vidmar.
