Dec-14-07 Kaidanov vs Bareev, 1987

keklik: I like when grandmasters play lines typical for rookie players. And they calculate, calculate, calculate... But, how to explain the pun? Should it be 'Show must go on'? Or 'Radio Ga-Ga'? Or even 'Living on my own'? |

Dec-14-07 Kotov vs Unzicker, 1952

keklik: Watching these knights being pushed off the board by white's centralisation is funny. But I honestly believe 25...Rg6 would have held it longer. |

Dec-14-07 McShane vs L Bruzon Batista, 2003

keklik: Heh, bloody good show. Nimzovitsch would be proud of this stuff. These two black pieces on kingside look pretty useless. |

Dec-14-07 A Nimzowitsch vs A Hakansson, 1922
|
keklik: I wonder if 4. Qg4? is a correct move. It reminds me about line of French Winawer after 1. e4 e6 2. d4 d5 3. Nc3 Bb4 4. e5 c5 5. a3 Bxc3+ 6. bxc3 Ne7 7. Qg4 (or 6...Oe7 7. Qg4 f6). But does it work with bishop on f8? Any ideas about modern follow-ups? |

Dec-14-07 Kasparov vs Turbostar, 1985
|
keklik: Got it immediately!! Heh, strange, I see first move, but I can't calculate the rest of the attack. Probably this is the reason why I've never been a World Champion. And Kaspy won't become first chess World Champion to be called 'mr. president'. How disappointing. Anyway, best wishes ... |

Dec-05-07 V Teterev vs A Zhigalko, 2001
|
keklik: Well, it looks someone was bribed here. It's typical for tournaments in Poland. I hate it. Good that 'chessgames' collects these odds. We will remember... |
