   Aug-09-07 J Degraeve vs J Boudre, 1987 (replies)

fzoozle: <It looks like everyone missed the puzzle as 19.Qxh6 is a winner even after 19...Bb8 protecting against Rh3+. The right response is 19.Qxh6 Bb8 20. Bxe6!! and either Qxe6, Rxe6 or fxe6 followed by 21.Rh3 with mate to follow. If 21...Qxh3 the rook on h1 will mate.> How does ...

   Apr-01-07 G Sargissian vs I Sokolov, 2007

fzoozle: Why not 48. ...Bxd8 ? Is there a mistake in the score?

   Mar-29-07 S K Bru vs Movsesian, 2001 (replies)

fzoozle: I looked at Qf1 early and worked out a whole bunch of white responses, but i missed Nxe5+. Luckily black still wins easily, but had it happened in a real game i would have gotten very worried for a couple of seconds.

   Dec-26-06 J Stocek vs V Eingorn, 1998 (replies)

fzoozle: <mig55: And simply Qa5 after Rd8?> ...b6 and white's queen is forced off of the fifth rank, allowing fxe4.

   Dec-17-06 S Erenburg vs Fridman, 2005 (replies)

fzoozle: 26. ...Ka8 loses immediately to 27. Qxa6+. 26. ...Kb7 is met by 27. Re7, pinning the black queen. Black still ends up trading queen for rook and knight.

   Sep-15-06 J Nogueiras vs J Tarjan, 1979 (replies)

fzoozle: Black threatens mate with 36...Bb7+ 37. Kh2 Qf2# White must lose material to prevent mate. Qf7 is even better. Qf8 can be met with Nf5 at least. Qf7 threatens 36...Qb7+ 37 Kh2 Qg2# and forces white into an even worse position having to exchange queen for rook.

   Sep-08-06 A Haik vs S Skembris, 1981 (replies)

fzoozle: The g7 square is attacked by the knight on e8. His line was correct.
