   Sep-11-05 K Treybal vs J Foltys, 1936 (replies)

Tiamat: Seriously, I mean I've learned not to try to do that fork (though I don't lose a piece first) and I'm only rated around 1500... tpstar - that's awesome, exact same exact carried out two more moves.

   Sep-10-05 B Jonasson vs H Angantysson, 1986 (replies)

Tiamat: If anyone is still reading this, could they please tell me why after 26 f6 26 f6 Bxf6 27 Rxf6 Qxf6 28 Qxf6 Rd1 29 Qf1 e2 And you're pretty assuredly have the game. Am I making a mistake?

   Sep-07-05 Ivkov vs A Kolarov, 1957 (replies)

Tiamat: Welcome sixtyfoursquares! I wouldn't know enough to tell you, but I would have been happy to do the same thing because it opens up my file, to put him in a more pressured position (or so I would think) I think indeed the best answer was Qd7 because it was more subtle (as pointed out ...

   Aug-31-05 Nunn vs J A Sutton, 1984 (replies)

Tiamat: Jahhaj, if you find that name tell me, I'd like to know it. I liked this one :). By the way, perhaps they are two different Suttons? Unless this guy is like 120...

Aug-30-05 Spassky vs Petrosian, 1967 (replies)

Tiamat: I unfortunately saw the pawn taking the bishop, but much better to be forced.

   Aug-22-05 I Yaranga vs V Moret, 2002

Tiamat: He must have... RxD1 actually puts white at a bit of an advantage, Black now has to defend his bishop. His bishop can't make a good counter attack, as his rook can take it and would put his queen in danger.

   Aug-22-05 G Borisenko vs Simagin, 1955 (replies)

Tiamat: I agree, 'twas a bit too easy, where does one see the week's theme?

   Oct-05-04 B Blumenfeld vs NN, 1903 (replies)

Tiamat: wow... I totally didn't see the mate, I saw how he could gain pieces... 8. Bxe7 Nxe7 9. Qxd4 and black's in a very very weak position. Checkmates, however, are always better.

   Sep-22-04 J Krejcik vs R Muenz, 1911 (replies)

Tiamat: I saw a different queen trap, though it could lose two pieces instead of none, which I see is an advantage, though either way would win. 11. Ng5.

   Sep-21-04 J Richardson vs A Eva, 1939 (replies)

Tiamat: I have a feeling its not "trap the queen on h4" but rather, trap the queen either near that section or just trap the queen.
