   Oct-17-18 B Bertelsen vs W Roach, 1990

RoyalPawn: Bad end game or time pressure?

   May-05-18 P V Nandhidhaa vs P Karthikeyan, 2016 (replies)

RoyalPawn: For me d6 makes sense if you actually not sure about the whole combination on the board, maybe because of time trouble. Left it on d5 , the pawn is attacked twice and defend once. D6 is a forced moved, the queen needs to move, and leaves the pawn protected twice. It doesn’t help

   Jan-30-18 A Mikhalchishin vs Adrian Wasiolek, 2017

RoyalPawn: 21.Rh4 seemed like a good idea, but the brilliant 22.f4! has no good reply. Neat finish by white.

Nov-23-16 Karjakin vs Carlsen, 2016 (replies)

RoyalPawn: "Espeluznante" really? ... escalofriante!

   May-26-16 B Koch vs J Jezek, 1956 (replies)

RoyalPawn: No doubt 32.Rh1 is the beauty of the combination, but for me the key is the protected knight posted on f6. Without this, the pretty sacrifice is not possible. Great play to get a great post for the cavalry, there is simply not enough defence with black's knight and 2nd rook out of

   May-09-16 M Brunoehler vs K Richter, 1941 (replies)

RoyalPawn: It didn't take me that long when I realised that it was black to move. I consider first if it was a spoiler white to move as if you do nothing the forced forked it is coming!

Mar-21-16 Muller vs NN, 1928 (replies)

RoyalPawn: <Parzer2> Great analysis once more and trully amazed of the positive impact of chess in your family. I can't talk for anyone else but chess in a sense saved my life once, focusing in something as rewarding and painful like chess sometimes is all you need to help life to be ...

   Feb-21-16 Yermolinsky vs P Hummel, 1999 (replies)

RoyalPawn: Additionally, Patzer2, although the accuracy of the computers analysis is undeniable, at my level I would find it more useful to understand in this puzzles what key strategic topic went right or wrong that influenced the final result. For instance I consider in this game allowing ...

   Dec-12-15 O Chajes vs Capablanca, 1915 (replies)

RoyalPawn: time issues?

   Aug-27-15 M Bjertrup vs J Caspersen, 1982 (replies)

RoyalPawn: Why 24.Re7 instead of 24.Rxf8 winning a rook? It is obvious that it ends up well for white but that would be my first choice, leading probably to an easy win also.
