   Sep-30-22 D Arutinian vs D Doric, 2006 (replies)
Milesdei: stacase:"Pretty darned easy for a Friday. Every move was obvious. But if 38...Kg8 what's White going to do? Draw by perpetual check, or???? But as it turned out, I always quickly accept my opponent's resignation (-:" 38...Kg8 39. Bf6+ Kf8 40. Qh6+ Kg8 41. Qh8#
   May-02-22 Tal vs B Dudley, 1964 (replies)
Milesdei: Agree with you <goodevans> Dudley showed great fortitude. It looked like he was winning up until the last maybe 8 moves when the Wizard of Riga conjured a devastating counterattack. Great finish, shows you that it ain't over till it's over.
   Apr-18-22 B Katalymov vs G Ilivitsky, 1959 (replies)
Milesdei: <WickedPawn>, <chrisowen> is just waiting for his Chinese handlers to come online so that he can continue to transmit top secret information via encoded messages on this forum. It's the only explanation that makes sense, other than the man is gibbering lunatic.
Jun-13-21 Short vs Ljubojevic, 1991 (replies)
Milesdei: Messiah: <chrisowen:> u on crack?> Chris Owen is an intelligence operative using this website to pass on encoded messages to his Chinese paymasters.
   Jul-08-20 L McLaren vs A Ismail, 2017 (replies)
Milesdei: I came up with 18. Bxf6 Rg8 19. Rxg8+ Kxg8 20. Qd8+ Rxd8 21. Rxd8#
Aug-23-19 Kavalek vs Matulovic, 1966 (replies)
Milesdei: I saw the first move but everything after that was beyond me, until the end, when I saw the virtuoso conclusion.
   Jan-04-19 James Moore Hanham (replies)
Milesdei: This guy has wins against Showalter, Pillsbury, and Steinitz. Not bad!
   Nov-11-17 A Chandra vs So, 2016 (replies)
Milesdei: Aside from playing through the game before attempting to solve a puzzle, is there any way to know whether castling is still permissible?
Jun-23-17 Mamedyarov vs Van Wely, 2016 (replies)
Milesdei: The position seems an absolute mess after 17 moves so i replayed the game and stopped after 17. Nxb5. I would have played 17...Ng4 and thought I made a mistake because Van Wely chose to capture the horse on b5. RKnight has it right.
   Mar-28-17 Spassky vs M Bieler, 2009 (replies)
Milesdei: "I can kill you with my business." It's kind of funny that he brought his swagger to the patzers...It's gratuitous, but I think I'd love it if a grandmaster talked trash to me, as long as it was done in fun, and not intended to demean.
